OKAY JOE is a not-for-profit musician using the power of music to build music schools across the United States
With catchy hooks and storytelling that fuses together elements of country, EDM, and Rap, OKAY JOE's music has universal appeal
All money raised through streaming royalties, merch, NFT sales, brand sponsorships, and concerts will go towards building music schools that offer scholarships to children of low income families
OKAY JOE has been writing and releasing music since 2017 under the stage name "Joe Berk". During this era, Joe released 5 singles, a music video, had his music premiered on Detroit's 99.5 WYCD, accumulated over 3M views across his Instagram Reels, and was ultimately offered a record deal. However, he went against the grain and decided to turn down the record deal. Turning down this record deal offer changed everything and is what led to the birth of OKAY JOE
The reason Joe turned down the record deal came down to one thing...creative control. The label loved Joe's writing and wanted him to write songs for the other artists on their roster. However, when it came down to his own career...he would have no control over which songs he recorded. This was NOT OKAY. His love for writing is the reason he started making music in the first place. So now Joe had to figure out the answer to one big question...what does a meaningful path as an independent musician look like?
Enter OKAY JOE
OKAY JOE is here to define a new path for independent musicians, centered around philanthropy. All of the money raised through streaming royalties, merch, NFT sales, brand sponsorships, and licensing deals goes towards opening not-for-profit music schools across the country.
OKAY JOE's goal is to create as much incredible music as possible. Except that is a pretty big burden for one person. Which is why the #1 goal behind OKAY JOE's music is opening music schools. So that more people can unlock their power to create
OKAY JOE is a dog from the Ethereum based NFT collection, Okay Dogs. The OKAY brand is a multi-chain NFT project with a mission of spreading hope through art and code. This mission and their tagline "We're All Gonna Be Okay" resonated with Joe, so he decided to align his music with the Okay brand. Joe looks forward to using his Okay Dog to produce fun educational animated shorts, music videos, and merch. The OKAY brand is quickly gaining mainstream popularity with their apparel in over 1,000 Zara stores and a map in Fortnite.
